Hautbois Hall Wedding Videographer | Norfolk Wedding Film

February 12, 2026

If you’re planning a Hautbois Hall wedding, you’ve picked the perfect spot.

As a wedding videographer based just outside of Norwich, (this is me!) I get to see a lot of wedding venues around Norfolk/Suffolk and Hautbois Hall is one that always stands out. It’s relaxed, it’s surrounded by countryside and it has a beatiful barn for ceremonies and partying later on. I’m also a recommended supplier (just throwing that out there).

Basically… it’s the kind of place where people can just have a good time. Which, in my opinion, is exactly what weddings should be about. No stress, just good times.

From a filming point of view, venues like this are perfect because the day just flows naturally. Mostly due to the lovely Cheryl from Cheryl Beeney Events (www.cherlybeeneyevents.co.uk) who always has everything under control!

Why Hautbois Hall Works So Well for Wedding Films

One of the best things about Hautbois Hall weddings is visually, it’s beautiful. Obviously this means it looks great on camera and in turn helps towards a great wedding film.

The venue sits in the Norfolk countryside near Coltishall and is surrounded by fields, gardens and woodland. That means there are loads of nice little spots for couple shots without having to disappear for ages. There’s also a train that passes by a few times a day… Check out the drone shot below!

Usually we’ll just sneak away for 10 minutes, have a little wander, maybe get you two walking through the gardens… and that’s it. In Emma and Jack’s case, maybe even have some fun with my super 8 camera and have a little go on the swings….

NO AWKWARD POSING.
NO WEIRD DIRECTIONS.

Just the two of you hanging out on your wedding day while I quietly film the in-between moments. Which are usually the best ones.

The Party and/or Ceremony Barn

The Barn at Hautbois Hall is where most of the day takes place — ceremonies, speeches, food and then the dance floor chaos later on.

Barn venues are great for wedding films because they feel relaxed and intimate without being too cramped. They also lend to a more DIY feel so you can leave your own stamp on the day.

The wooden beams, fairy lights and big open space also look great on camera, especially once the evening kicks off and everyone’s had a few drinks.

Some of my favourite moments to capture here are:

  • Guests laughing during speeches

  • Those big hugs straight after the ceremony

  • Everyone piling onto the dance floor later in the evening

Basically all the moments that actually make a wedding feel like a wedding.

Golden Hour at Hautbois Hall (Worth Sneaking Out For)

If the weather plays nicely (fingers crossed!), golden hour at Hautbois Hall can be stunning.

The open fields around the venue catch the sunset really nicely, so if you’re happy to step outside for 10 minutes in the evening, you can get some beautiful footage with all those amazing colours.

The sun comes in right through the party side of the barn too so if timings all work out, that golden sun will hit the dance floor perfectly!

A Venue That Lets You Be Yourselves

One of the reasons I like filming Hautbois Hall weddings is that the venue has a really relaxed feel to it.

It’s a bit of a blank canvas, which means every wedding ends up looking slightly different depending on how couples style it.

Some are rustic and outdoorsy.
Some go a bit more elegant.
Some are just a big countryside party.

But the important thing is that people feel comfortable there and when people feel comfortable, they forget about cameras. Perfect 🙂

That’s when the best moments happen and those are exactly the moments I love to capture.

Looking for a Hautbois Hall Wedding Videographer?

If you’re planning your wedding at Hautbois Hall and looking for a Norfolk wedding videographer, the goal (for me at least) is simple:

I show up.
I blend in.
I capture all those natural and authentic moments.

No awkward posing, no turning your wedding into a film set, no making people feel awkward. Just the real moments as they happen.

The laughs, the hugs, the chaos on the dance floor and all those little in-between bits you probably won’t even notice on the day.

Because those little moments with all those people you care about are the ones you’ll want to watch back in 20 years.

I would love to hear what you have planned for your wedding at Hautbois Hall so let’s have a chat!
